Ruby & Friends

In Honor of Down's Syndrome Awareness month, I did a shoot with my little friend Ruby and some of her cute little buddies. They were such a delightful bunch to work with, each with a personality all their own. I have lots more to post.....tomorrow!

I didn't choose photography, it chose me. When my first child was born, I didn't want to miss a moment of his life, for fear that someday, I'd forget. So I documented it on film. What I saw opened up a whole new world to me, and soon it crossed over from a hobby to a passion. I craved challenging myself to come up with new and creative ideas. I wanted to capture the essence of the person I was shooting. Not merely take a picture of their face, but a picture of their soul. My love for photography has continued to grow, and it's created a monster. I don't see things in an ordinary way, I see them through the lens of my camera. This is a documentation of my life through that lens. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I enjoy capturing them.
